iPhone dev team released a development version of a Jailbreaking tool designed for iPhone firmware 2.0.1 (for now) named QuickPwn. This is for Windows OS that would like to Jailbreak their iPhone without requiring a full restore.
It’s a tool we’ve been working on to jailbreak a phone more quickly and easily, without requiring a full restore. Unless you are making a custom firmware with specific features, there is nothing inherent in the pwnage process that requires a restore, and we have been planning this tool for some time. It’s more convenient because you do not need to make a full IPSW and use iTunes with it, but your phone still ends up pwned and jailbroken.
This seems to excite iPhone users on the upcoming release of their PwnageTool that hopefully and finally can unlock iPhone to be used on other networks. For now we can only Jailbreak these phones. Also note that first generation iPhone can be unlock using the dev team tools PwnageTool that currently on version 2.0.2.
