Progress. If your earning online is stagnant don’t think to quite your day job. As stability above says, this can fall in no time. Measure the progress in time where should be enough to say, you can survive or your family can survive.

Long Term Goal. As stated above, this can plunge in a day or two. You can see or foresee if you can achieve this income on a long term base. Earning money in the internet is not a one night millionaire. It takes time, effort and also network of friends.

Remember if you are not a full time internet marketer or making a living through internet it is not wise for now to quit your day job. A passive income can drop fully and you might end up broke.
